Matt’s first solo show in London investigated icons in the form of ‘look-a-likes’ and the notion of worship has always interested him. Icons were originally conceived to represent historical and religious figures in a form that was recognisable and understandable for followers but have developed since to celebrate fame and infamy.

This collection was originally conceived to celebrate Matt’s favourite musicians but has been extended to capture other icons from within popular culture.
